How much does an ApexWebsite cost?

Hmmm… how much does a house cost? That’s a tough question to answer without having more information. Websites come in all shapes and sizes, ranging from relatively basic brochure-style sites to complex eCommerce solutions with deep social media integration; prices range depending on project specifications.

How long does it take to build an ApexWebsite?

Hmmm… how long does it take to build a house? Similar to pricing, it is difficult to accurately answer this question without knowing more about your particular project. In general, we can have the standard website (as described above) in 2-3 days. The professional website usually has a 1 to 2 week turnaround time. The advanced websites, such as those using the Drupal platform and including complex eCommerce solutions, most generally require one month minimum, but oftentimes longer. The other thing to note is that a website is never truly complete; they, like us, are always a work in progress.

To give you a better idea of the ApexWebsites creation process, we’ve provided a rough outline below. We call it the Alpha-Phi-Omega (ΑΦΩ) Process:

I. Alpha: Design

We work with you to discover the specific goals and requirements of your project and determine which best-of-breed Open Source CMS (Content Management System) will provide us with the most appropriate platform for achieving those objectives. In general, we think Drupal is best for enterprise, government and ecommerce projects, while WordPress is ideal for just about everything else, including blogs, publications and small to medium businesses. After establishing our platform, we evaluate potential features, layout the basic site structure and seek out inspiring ideas. At this point, we’ll provide you with a project contract, including a timeline for completion.

Proceeding forward, we design your front-end UI (user interface), based upon our custom layout concept or predefined theme. We’ll create the necessary graphics, including a logo (if needed) and develop aesthetic guidelines. At the end of this phase, you will be given a link to a “lab” site where you will see what your new website looks like in a browser. You can evaluate the aesthetics and, if requested, we’ll adjust it based upon your feedback.

II. Phi: Develop

This is when the dynamic features and back-end wizardry get done. We’ll develop, integrate and configure the modules (for Drupal) or Plug-ins (for WordPress) we determined were necessary. Once this phase is complete, you’ll have a fully functional website waiting for your content/copywrite to be plugged in.

Depending on our contract, we’ll either add your media and copywriting for you, or we’ll train you to do it yourself. Once complete, all that’s left is final testing before deployment!

III. Omega: Deploy

We have a minimum of 3 team members take your new site on a test drive. We conduct quality assurance tests, scan our server logs for errors and encourage you to participate in the QA process. Once your site has successfully passed this battery of testing, it’s time to Go Live!

Deployment location is your choice; we’ll deploy your site on one of our reliable and scalable ApexCloud™ Hosting solutions, or we’ll deploy it on the host of your choice. Now that your site is live, we encourage you to employ our ApexSEO™ (Search Engine Optimization) services and utilize other tools, such as Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools, to unleash the full power and potential of your new website.
